Costume Contest Criteria:

1. Creativity & Originality: We are looking for a costume that is unique, clever, and imaginative. Is it a completely original idea or a fresh and unexpected take on a classic character or concept? Points will be awarded for ingenuity and thinking outside the box.

2. Craftsmanship & Effort: This category assesses the quality and detail of the costume. Was it handmade with skill, or was a store-bought costume significantly modified and improved? We will be looking at the attention to detail, the materials used, and the overall effort that went into creating the look.

3. Overall Impression & Execution: How well does the complete costume come together? This category is about the “wow” factor. The contestant’s commitment to the character—including attitude, presentation, and how they carry themselves.

In order to be eligible for the Best Costume Contest, all participants must be within the venue and have their costume judged by our panel of judges at the designated judging station by 11:00pm EST. A minimum of 5 finalists will be selected and invited on-stage at approximately 11:45pm EST. The winner will be determined by loudest audience applause. Please note that any costume accessories resembling a weapon will not permitted within the venue.
