Totally 80s Halloween Costume Party

boom 973 announces the return of our Totally 80s Halloween Costume Party: Friday October 30th at The Phoenix Concert Theatre.

YOU like to party and WE like to party –  Not only will we party, but we’ll dress up, catch some “spook-tacular” performances, quaff back candy, elixirs, and dance to Totally 80s Music Videos. And how about a $2,500 prize for the best costume!

Tickets go on-sale Monday September 28th @ 10am for $19.80 (plus fees).

This is a 19+ Event.

Costume Contest Judging Criteria:

• Creativity & Originality: How unique, inventive, and memorable is the costume concept? Costumes that showcase fresh ideas, clever interpretations, or unexpected creativity will stand out.
• Overall Visual Impact: Does the costume have a strong “wow” factor? Judges will consider overall appearance, attention to detail, and the impression your costume makes at first glance.
• Effort & Execution: How well is the costume put together? Craftsmanship, quality, makeup, props, and the overall level of detail and effort will all be taken into account.
• Character & Presentation: How convincingly do you embody the character or concept? Personality, attitude, and attention to detail can help your costume stand out.

IMPORTANT: Props or items that could be mistaken for a dangerous weapon are not permitted in the venue.

In order to be eligible for the Best Costume Contest, all participants must be within the venue and have their costume judged by our panel of judges at the designated judging station by 11:00pm EST. A minimum of 5 finalists will be selected and invited on-stage at approximately 11:40pm EST. The winner will be determined by loudest audience applause. There is no ‘theme’ requirement for costumes. For clarity, costumes do NOT need to be 80s themed to be eligible for best costume.
