Posted By: Troy McCallum · 10/3/2012 8:14:00 AM

We all know someone who has weight issues.  It's a slippery slope when it comes to discussing it and you have to make sure you're not using "hurtful" words.  We can be cruel with what we say sometimes and not even realize it.

These are fellow human beings we are talking about.  They have families, feelings and hearts.  Not enough of us take this into account.

There is a video that's making the rounds right now on social media and it's getting some significant views on YouTube.  It features a beautiful and brilliant TV anchor and how she handled a hurtful email sent to her at her station.

She has a powerful message and it's one that should be seen and heard.  Please watch this and discuss with your children as we can all learn something from this wonderful woman and her amazing view on being overweight.

Side note: The way that she handles herself and fashion of her reply to this comment will result in a huge opportunity for herself and a career now that its as viral as it is, just wait and see.

This is NOT a case of bullying.

    The original viewer was correct.

North America has a huge problem with obesity.

The news anchor has reflected the issue to make it bullying but failed to address the real issue.

We now live in an age where for the first time our children may have a lower average life span than their parents.

@Rich Did you ever stop to think there may be a medical issue related to her weight?

      Don't judge a book by it's cover!

@Rich Sure obesity is a problem in North America, but as she mentioned she didn't need it pointed out in that manner by someone that doesn't even watch the show,

Kudos to Jennifer for standing up for herself. As human beings we have the ability to make choices and there will always be people who make the wrong ones for whatever reason. They will continue to do such things as long as others let them. It takes a strong person to stand up for themselves and let others know that such things are not acceptable. If only one tenth of the people in this world would do this, you would be amazed at how different our world would be.

Great job for posting this Troy!

This woman is an insipation, many people would just let this bully win by letting it affect them negatively and not share this because of embarrassment, but instead this great woman brought her experience into the spot light so others can learn. Hats off to this wonan.

Wow. This woman is inspiring. I have struggled with my weight since having my 4 children, and recently had a drunk 'friend' discuss my weight with me and I was very hurt by that. This video really hit home for me. Thank you for sharing.

Woman's Nuptse jacket also has some additional features. It features adjustable north face jackets on sale tabs and a hem cinch-cord that allow you to adjust cuffs and hem according to your own body structure. It also has an internal pocket with zipper and two hand pockets where you can safely put your valuables. It is also made to be compatible with zip-ins made by north face outlet store facial area, so that you may add layering if you need far more insulation.
