For the record, I honestly can't remember the last time my mother actually remembered MY birthday.  I'm totally serious.  

I have had some rather interesting birthdays that have lodged themselves in my mind... one in particular was her buying me a cake with someone else's name on it because it wasn't picked up!  It said "Happy Birthday John!"  lol.

I have to call her to remind her when her grandchildren's birthdays are.  I have no idea why she doesn't remember or take steps to remember, but she doesn't.  I don't love her any less, by the way.  It's just frustrating.

Because of this, I have made it a mission to never miss her birthday hoping that she'll follow my lead and start remembering.  Her birthday is today, Sept. 27th... and I forgot to send a card!  Ahhhhh!  I did know it was coming up  and made it a point to go on Monday to get her a card but I got busy (I know, not an excuse) and it slipped my mind.

So... I will obviously call her today and go out and buy a belated birthday card.  I did however make her a video and post it on YouTube?  That's something not most sons do, right?  

Yes, that's a picture of my mom with a deer she raised as a fawn (it's mom was killed by a car).  She's got a kind soul.
