How about some GOOD NEWS?

Posted By: Troy McCallum · 7/23/2012 7:31:00 AM

Listening to the news on the way into work this morning I found myself getting pissed off and somewhat depressed.  There's just way too much killing and senseless violence going on and it seems that we only hear about the bad.

Rather than start my work week in a crappy sad mood about the state of things I immediately began a search for "Good News Stories", and believe it or not... they exist!

I've included a couple in this blog that should balance out the stuff we've been receiving lately.

The first story is good because it deals with Superheroes and their influence on children.  I thought this was timely given the horrible situation in Colorado at the Batman screening.  It's about a child with a hearing disability that wouldn't wear his hearing aid because "Superheroes don't wear them" so a special superhero was created in his honor.

The second story is about how wildlife is evolving so they can prolong the existance of their species, in this case Gorilla's that foil the traps of poachers!  They are learning how to look for snares and set them off so other Gorilla's don't get caught in them.  Brilliant!

If you've got a "Good News" story, feel free to comment on the blog and share it!

Peace.
