Yeah, I'm a bit of a Sci Fi fan.  I enjoy a good Sci Fi movie but I don't go all goofy and start discussing the motives or what would have happened if Darth did this or The Enterprise entered quadrant 10, etc.

I grew up in the 70s and 80s and that was when science fiction movies where finally getting a foothold on entertainment.

So it's no surprise that when our daughter was old enough I introduced her to Star Wars, Star Trek, Buck Rogers, Battlestar Galactica (original TV show) and everything else that allowed us to use our imagination for a better future.

I found a hilarious video the other day of a father doing the same thing with his daughter, only she's a lot younger than our daughter was before I got all geeky on her.
