Friday, October 5th has been dubbed Global James Bond Day, in honor of the 50th anniversary of the release of the first James Bond film, Dr. No. James Bond Day will be celebrated with special retrospectives, auctions, and charity events the world over.

Tuesday there will be a 50th Anniversary cd release Best of Bond…James Bond: 50th Anniversary Collection, and it  includes Paul McCartney & Wings' "Live and Let Die"; Shirley Bassey's  "Goldfinger"; Nancy Sinatra's "You Only Live Twice"; and Carly Simon's "Nobody Does It Better," The album also features memorable tunes sung by Tom Jones, Lulu, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, Rita Coolidge, Louis Armstrong, Madonna, and Sheena Easton.

The new movie Skyfall, the 3rd Bond with Daniel Craig, comes out Nov 9th. But for Global Bond James Bond Day, at 0:07 UK time they released the new theme song by Adele! And within hours it's already #1 on the UK i-tunes chart!

Backed up by a 77 piece Orchestra and recorded at the famed Abbey road studios, Adele calls it one of the "proudest moments in her life". And here it is ...
