Today George Michael's new single is out called White Light.  He has revealed that it was inspired by a near death experience last November.  At the time his "people" denied that he was that sick but Michael has now confirmed that he was at deaths door and that things were "touch and go" on whether he'd pull through. In his interview with BBC Radio 2 this week he said "it's like I dodged a bullet".

It's now been confirmed that he will be perfoming next month at the closing ceremony for the Summer Olympics in London.
