I've never been a big gym guy, but one opened up across the street from our home that's open 24/7 and that's perfect, along with the price... $30/month? - wow!  For less than the price of a coffee I can work out for as long as I want in a clean space, alone! Working out alone is a thing with me.  I don't like to be with other people when I'm "in the mode".  I find working out to be a kind of meditation, for me.  My wife thinks I'm just weird... I know I'm weird, but anyways. Passions are high especially in Toronto because after 9 years the Toronto Maple Leafs have made the playoffs! The city is going nuts and the fans even more so.  Yesterday was "Blue & White" day because the Leafs had their first playoff game on home ice and it's been a long time since that's happened.  Yeah, they lost... we'll get them next time. The part I don't get is why people have to resort to violence?  It's a game, I understand you get a little "overwhelmed" so to say when the goal light goes off or your team loses a game... but is that any reason to punch someone in the face because they are wearing the opposing teams colors?  I think not. The first little chunk of Spring really had us all scratching our heads but it looks as if it's finally starting to come around. The desire to slide on a pair of shorts and sit on a patio to enjoy some beverages and food is overwhelming. With spring comes flowers, green leaves, fresh air and new life.  I found a photo montage of "new life" that is just too good not to SHARE with you.  It's a pit bull and a few baby friends.  The best part is seeing in the dogs eyes, how much he REALLY enjoys playing with these babies.  See for yourself and feel free to comment below what makes Spring fantastic for you. "Jennifer Is A Real Party Pooper"  /troy/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10536736/troy/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10536736Fri, 26 Apr 2013 16:07:07 GMTI stumbled upon a video this morning that I thought you should watch and share with your friends and family on Facebook.  It's a promotional video from Dove.   I love the message they are sending out to people (specifically women) about not being so hard on yourself and to accept and love yourself more.  It's amazing how advertising has changed thanks to social media... sell jobs are now relatable, emotional and motivational videos that strike a chord that make you want to share. Advertisement or not, the idea is brilliant and the message is delivered.  Watch as women are put in the same room as a sketch artist and can only describe themselves to him.  Later he brings in another woman or man who has talked and met with the sketched woman and they proceed to describe her.  It's amazing to see the differences. It's not a hard thing to do, really.  When you use the last batch of ice cubes, you grab the tray and fill it up with water then put it back in the freezer.  Simple.  I've seen 4 year olds master this. Its such a common thing to do, someone has decided to make a recipe on how to master it and it's definitely worth a read.  When you get a chance check out the Ratings and Reviews for a good laugh. This time, however... not the case. I found this story online earlier today and shook my head over it.  It's sad that there are people that would stoop so low.  For the most part I'd like to think that as humans, a majority of us honestly care and want to help others.  The disturbing part of this is, there are people that know this about society and use it to their advantage. Being that we never like to miss out on an opportunity at boom 973, I put my thinking cap on and tried to think of some bands that we play at boom 973.  I needed bands that not only rocked hard, but had songs that included some good screams... We put our collective heads together and came up with Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Guns 'N Roses and The Who with Roger Daltry's infamous scream on "Won't Get Fooled Again".
