The Amazing Pilots are brothers Paul and Phil Wilkinson, who traveled from a small town in Ireland to record their gentle tunes in England. After a self-released EP titled Graduate Blood in 2001 and a respectable review from the NME, the duo signed with London-based Easy!Tiger records (Calexico, Wheat), only to see the label close shop just two weeks before the release of the duo's first single. The two moved ahead and mixed the full-length with producer David Odlum (the Frames, Josh Ritter, Gemma Hayes) in Dublin and France. Hello My Captor found a home with Undertow in the U.S. and Canada, and Decor records in Europe, in spring 2005.
