Now this is where it's at. In October of 2004 a slew of artists got together for a benefit concert to offer tribute to Sublime. The show, which included performers like Los Lobos and Ozomatli to name but two, was captured for DVD release -- in other words, this package. It showcases a fine evening of music that was respectful of the small but important legacy left behind by Sublime, and also was innovative and full of warmth and humor. In addition to the DVD, there is a bonus disc in this package that includes performances by Chuck D, Dr. Israel, Bedouin Soundclash, Blackalicious, Mishka, Fishbone, AWOL One, and others. It smokes for the most part, laying down the sounds with intensity and vitality. Unlike the horrid Hawaiian Tribute to Sublime issued by CMH, this one's got teeth and heart.
