Album Review

This ten-cut super budget comp by '70s rock heroes Kansas is nonetheless loaded with the cuts that any casual fan would ever want and more. It's a fine playlist of the hits without any dross or fluff. From the beginning to the end of their chart days, Kansas always stood apart while raking it in with record and concert ticket sales. They belonged to no scene; though they were usually associated with Yes and Genesis, musically nothing could be further from the truth. This collection has the biggies like "Dust in the Wind," and "Carry on My Wayward Son," as well as "Point of Know Return," and "Journey from Mariabronn." The sound is better than you might expect for a budget disc, and the price tag is absolutely right.
