Album Review

Thanks to more adventurous listeners, Projekt Records' From Across This Gray Land, Vol. 2 was a considerable success, filled with cutting-edge alternative music, mostly vocals, and just enough electronic appeal to fit the bill. Volume 3 carries on in the same vein, with appearances by some of the same groups as before like Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Lycia, Attrition and, as its centerpiece, another unreleased Steve Roach track, the ten-minute "Three Reptiles Wait at the Opening to the Underworld." In addition, it features O Yuki Conjugate, Vinda Obmana and the oddly named Love Spirals Downwards as well as Soul Whirling Somewhere. From haunting gothic to tribal-ambient to passionate soundscapes, this eclectic collection will interest the adventurous musical explorers out there.
