How to make the perfect pumpkin pie
I don't use the word perfect lightly either...i am somewhat of an expert on all things pumpkin pie because i've been throwing a "Pumpkin Pie Party" for 10 years now. I bake about 18 different kinds of pumpkin pie from scratch and all my friends have to do is come over with a canned good for the food bank, eat too much and drink too much. Those are the rules.
The party this year was a big success - we even got a noise complaint (that means you're having a good party in my opinion!)
Here is what i made:
Pumpkin Creme Brulee, Pumpkin Tim Bits, Pumpkin Maple Marshmallow Whoopie Pies, Pumpkin smores, Pumpkin Bourbon Milkshakes, Traditional Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Skor Pie, Pumpkin Butterscotch Buttertart Pie, Sour Cream Pumpkin Pie, Cream Cheese Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Frangelico Cheesecake, Triple Layer Chocolate Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Roll. Pumpkin Torte, Pumpkin Chiffon Pie, Pumpkin Meringe Pie, Pumpkin bark, Pumpkin Vanilla Cupcakes,....PHEW. (yes my place is still a mess!)
Here's a great crust recipe - it's easier than you think and will taste SO much better if you make it yourself...promise.
