So i think you know by now that along with hosting on boom i'm also a singer & songwriter. I do my own stuff (www.meredithshaw.com) and i sing with Big Sugar....so that's what i was up to while i was away this past week. We closed out the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede - and what a PARTY that was!! The Trews opened and then joined us onstage, it rained a bit on the crowd but no one seemed to mind. Then i had pancakes...many many pancakes (as i hear is tradition at the Stampede).

We closed out our trip to the west with another Festival in Hinton, Alberta. Where's Hinton? i know...we weren't really sure either but it's a great little town on the way to Jasper and man do they know how to throw a festival! The food, the crowd, everyone was in a good mood for some music. It was us and Wide Mouth Mason and The Sheepdogs...fun times.

And now i'm back on Boom where i belong because oh how i missed you!! I'm in for Maie all week... so now that you know what i was up to...what were YOU up to?? highligh reel please:)
