Shipwrecking
No, it's not the Titanic but it sure is spooky...and exciting...at the same time.
I took this picture when my family and I were snorkelling on some of the wrecks in Georgian Bay. This wreck lies about 30 ft. below the surface; I dove down about 12 ft. and with a desposable underwater camera (available at some variety stores), snapped the shot. Then, feeling a little spooked, I dashed back up to the surface. If you have an interest in History and if you love being in the water, 'Shipwrecking' is a great activity; perhaps a little haunting sometimes, but fascinating nonetheless.
There are lots of shipwrecks on Georgian Bay and quite a few of them are in shallow water near the surface, so you can enjoy them easily by just floating around the surface with a mask and snorkel.
While you're at it, be sure to take a few snapshots of the family doing 'Rose and Jack' poses!
