I've got 2 kids, 19 and 16. Given the stuff I did when I was that age, I can only hope to escape my parents' fate. So, here's my 'Top 5 Reasons Why You Shouldn't Go Away For The Weekend, Leaving Your Teenage Kids At Home On Their Own' :

5) because when you return home, the litter box will be full, every single light in the house will be on, the furnace will be cranked and there's a burnt pizza box in the oven.

4)...the house will be an overall disasterous mess.

3)...the house will be suspiciously cleaner than usual.

2)...when you pull in the driveway, you are greeted by 400 obnoxious partiers all over the place: on the front lawn, in the house, hanging from trees, etc. with angry neighbours and the police in attendance...

1)...you have a lousy weekend anyway because you spend the whole time worrying about the dreaded possibility of all of the above!!
