This week, boom 973’s 70s 80s 90s magazine celebrates the life of David Bowie with a brief outlook in his life.  Bowie makes the front page this week because April 24th, 2012 will mark his 20th wedding anniversary to supermodel Iman.  Bowie not only continues to amaze his fans with his music and marriage commitment but we’ll take a quick glimpse at some of the “bigger” movies he’s done and then knock him off the pedestal by exposing some “Bowie Bo Boos” with the law.

David Bowie has become a chamelon throughout his entire career.  He has changed looks, musical styles and personalities than most of the artists in the industry.  Much like looking through a yearbook and seeing that old Grade 10 photo of yourself and say, "How did that happen?" We are certain Bowie has said the same thing.  Or, at least he would after seeing this video...

David Bowie Marries Iman - April 24th 1992

It is rare to see a Celebrity couple last for longer than a few hours after they say "I Do" However there are those rare couples that make us feel better about marriage especially for one that lasts as long as David and Iman, whom this week celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.

Their first encounter was a 1990 blind date set up by their hairdresser.  Luckily for them their meeting was love at first sight, and Bowie reportedly fell head over heels in love with Somali-born model Iman. She admitted in an online chat, "It was nerve wracking at the beginning, the first five minutes, but we got along very famously and we have been together since then." 

The pair seem to share a wacky off-the-wall sense of humour. Iman even said she married Bowie because "he's just plain silly". In a 2003 interview Bowie said about the relationship, "I don't have that sense of loneliness that I had before, which was very, very strong. It became a subtext for a lot of things I wrote." 

They have a seven year old daughter named Alexandria Zahra Jones.  Iman is a legend in the fashion world as one of the pioneer African-American models.

David Bowie Busted:

The singer with the ever-changing persona was arrested in 1976 for marijuana possession and had about half a pound on him. The maximum sentence he would have received was 15 years but the charges were later dropped and Bowie continued doing his thing. Good thing since his heavy cocaine use through the years brought out quite an interesting side of the artist. Ziggy Stardust anyone?
