Dick Clark, creator of American Bandstand and "New Years Rockin' Eve" has sadly passed away Wednesday morning of a Heart Attack at the age of 82.
Clark often nicknamed "the world's oldest teenager" was responsible for several game shows and including creating the "American Music Awards". But his biggest contribution was in creating American Bandstand. He introduced the America's to music from Queen, Michael Jackson, DEVO, Cyndi Lauper and countless other artists we love listening to on boom 97.3
The original ``American Bandstand'' was one of network TV's longest-running series as part of ABC's daytime lineup from 1957 to 1987.
Clark is survived by his wife Kari and his three children, RAC, Duane and Cindy.
